Reports: Haynesworth inactive for Week Two
UPDATED: 09/19/2010

The Texans-Redskins game is one of two Week Two matchups that features 1-0 teams. But when they square off Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field, there will be a big name noticeably absent.

Redskins NT Albert Haynesworth will be inactive for the game, according to multiple internet reports. The two-time Pro Bowler has not been on the same page as head coach Mike Shanahan, who switched the player's position during offseason workouts. In their Week One win vs. the Cowboys, Haynesworth was a backup to Maake Kemoeatu.

Haynesworth also has been bothered by an ankle injury in practice this week, limiting his preparation for Houston.

The way we see it

The combination of a lack of production (one tackle vs. Dallas) and a lack of practice results in little surprise that Haynesworth won't dress for the 'Skins today. Against Week One star RB Arian Foster, Washington needs as many productive run stuffers as possible, and Shanahan clearly believes that Haynesworth doesn't fit that description.
