Note: Oddsmakers are generally offering Minnesota -3 with reduced "vig," the book's take on wager, which is usually -110 (meaning bettors have to wager $11 to win $10). The same goes for Seattle -3. This routinely happens when oddsmakers try to keep a three-point line from falling to -2.5, which would invite a flood of bets on a favorite laying less than a field goal.
On the other hand, oddsmakers have raised the vig to greater than -110 on Carolina -3, New Orleans -3 and Atlanta -3. In this case, the goal is to keep the line from rising to -3.5, which would invite action on the underdog getting more than a field goal.
