Here's what the Bears are saying after their 27-20 win over the Cowboys:
Head coach Lovie Smith on the victory in Dallas: "It was a signature game, as we say. … Dallas is one of the favorites to win the NFC, so we're playing a good football team and wanted to see exactly how we matched up. You can't go a whole lot on the preseason, you have to get to the regular season to (see where) you are. That first game set the bar, you want to make improvements. Normally there's a big improvement on that second game and we got better today."
QB Jay Cutler on coordinator Mike Martz's offense: "We are creating so many matchups for guys; I think it's almost even a bigger advantage to have what we have, and have a lot of weapons. It keeps teams off balance. They don't know where we are going or what we are doing in some of these formations or where we are headed, so it is working out to our advantage and we have a guy like Mike Martz who knows how to take advantage of all that."
SLB Pisa Tinoisamoa on six-time Pro Bowl MLB Brian Urlacher: "I've never been around such a great 'Mike' linebacker like that — where they make their presence felt. He is definitely everything that has been advertised. I understand why he has been the face of this franchise for so long. He's such a great player. This past week, he's brought that physicality to this defense. And from that position, from that kind of person, you kind of require that."
