Strong Points

Has excellent safety size, athleticism, speed and hitting ability. Good run support player and a good tackler. Has experience as a kickoff return man and also as a wide receiver.

Weak Points

Instincts, has no feel in coverage. Late to react and lacks top receiver awareness. Can take poor angles to the ball. Struggles in man-to-man coverage.

The Way We See It

A third-year junior and a one-year starter who is entering the draft. Played wide receiver as a freshman and moved to safety the following spring. Was a backup and special teams player in 2014. Has great size and will hit but he really lacks a feel and awareness in coverage. Consistently last to react. Will take poor angles to the ball. I really don’t know why this player came out. He is a long ways away from being an NFL-caliber player. Will test out very well and that will get him drafted, but I doubt he ever starts.
