Strong Points

Not as tall as you'd like but has great length. Very good athlete with speed, change of direction and overall body control. Great hands, can snatch the ball and make the difficult catch. Competes for the ball in traffic. Very good runner after the catch. Gets separation on a consistent basis. Willing blocker.

Weak Points

Has been to three different schools. Lacks the bulk and power to play in-line as a tight end. Raw as far as overall route running.

The Way We See It

Productive and athletic tight end. Originally enrolled at Hutchinson Community College (Kan.), then transferred to Alabama Birmingham and then finally at South Alabama after UAB dropped football. Everett is long with very good speed and athleticism. While he is listed as a tight end, he rarely lines up in tight and probably doesn't have the height or frame to develop into a guy who can play inside on a regular basis. He is a willing blocker but needs to add strength and bulk for the next level. Will be a move tight end in the NFL and will also play some WR. He is probably most similar to Detroit's Eric Ebron but not even that big.
