Jaguars backup QB McCown has torn ACL, done for year
UPDATED: 09/20/2010

Jaguars backup Luke McCown suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's game against the Chargers, an MRI confirmed Monday. He will miss the rest of the 2010 season.

McCown entered the game in the fourth quarter after starter David Garrard threw four interceptions. McCown scrambled to the Chargers' three-yard line before falling hard on his knee with less than a minute to go.

The way we see it

The Jaguars do not have another QB on their roster, with third-year pro Brett Ratliff on their practice squad. They will likely sign another QB this week to be the No. 2 behind Garrard. With Garrard struggling against the Chargers, the Jaguars will want a reliable, experienced backup.
