Mangini hopeful Delhomme, other injured Browns can practice
UPDATED: 09/27/2010

Browns head coach Jake Delhomme, asked if QB Seneca Wallace would start once again in place of QB Jake Delhomme (ankle) on Sunday vs. Cincinnati, said he felt all seven players who missed the Week Three loss at Baltimore could practice this week, according to the club, though he said that could change.

"I don't know," Mangini said on the prospect of Wallace starting again, according to the club. "I think that pretty much everybody on the injury report I would anticipate practicing at some point this week. That's my initial feeling here on Monday, but Wednesday could be a totally different story. That's my sense of it now."

Along with Delhomme, OLB Marcus Benard (ankle), RB Jerome Harrison (thigh), OG Shaun Lauvao (ankle), WR Carlton Mitchell (head), WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) and NT Shaun Rogers (ankle, hip) missed Week Three with injuries.

The way we see it

Wallace played well in his second start with Cleveland, completing 18-of-24 passes for 141 yards with one touchdown. He did not commit a turnover. Nevertheless, Delhomme, if healthy, figures to be the starter. Harrison's role could be in flux with Peyton Hillis rushing for 144 yards in Week Three. Benard is a promising pass rusher. Robiskie was ably replaced by Joshua Cribbs (5-58-0) in Week Three. Injuries have limited Rogers thus far.
