The PFW staff brings you its late-week fantasy tips for quarterbacks, which say hot streaks should continue for Matt Schaub, Andy Dalton and Chad Henne, but a tough matchup may be reason to sit Josh Freeman.
Bengals QB Andy Dalton has thrown nine TD passes in his last three starts and multiple TDs in 7-of-11 starts. The Chargers have allowed two TD passes or more in 6-of-11 games, which adds to Dalton’s already considerable appeal.
Matt Schaub is on a torrid pace of late, with 842 passing yards, six TDs and three INTs over the past two weeks. Meanwhile, the Titans just got torched by Jaguars QB Chad Henne. Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said he wants to get back to running the football, but it is hard to ignore how hot Schaub’s hand has been.
Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman had thrown at least two TD passes in six consecutive games before being held without a TD in the Bucs’ loss to the Falcons in Week 12. Freeman was on a tear heading into Week 12, and he faces a tough matchup Sunday at Denver. The Broncos have the league’s fifth-stingiest pass defense (it has allowed only 209.6 yards per game) and no team has more sacks than the Broncos (37). Freeman should be on the bench, even in deeper formats.
