Week 15 TE tips: Olsen's hot streak should continue
Week 15 TE tips: Olsen's hot streak should continue
UPDATED: 12/13/2012

The PFW staff thinks Greg Olsen will continue his recent hot streak in Week 15 and expects Owen Daniels and Brandon Myers to rebound with strong games, in our late-week fantasy tips for tight ends.

Panthers TE Greg Olsen merits a start in most formats at San Diego. Tight ends have made 15 catches for 143 yards and two TDs vs. the Chargers in their past three games and Olsen has offered fairly steady yardage and TD production of late.

The Broncos held Raiders TE Brandon Myers to one catch for a season-low seven yards in Week 14, but Myers is still worth a start in most formats this week vs. the Chiefs. Tight ends have scored a TD against Kansas City in two of the past three games and Myers is still the most reliable target for Raiders QB Carson Palmer.

Texans TE Owen Daniels was shut down against the Patriots last Monday night (just 2-24-0), but that is unlikely to be the case in Week 15, when Houston hosts Indianapolis. The Colts have struggled to cover tight ends this season, and Daniels is a strong candidate to bounce back with a solid showing.

Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham is a solid play on Thursday vs. Philadelphia. The Eagles have surrendered 25 TD passes in 13 games. Gresham has already set a career-high in receiving yards (636) in 13 games, and he needs one catch and one TD to tie his career-highs in those categories.

Lions TE Brandon Pettigrew (ankle) missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. If he can’t go, Tony Scheffler (10 targets, three catches, 20 yards, one TD in Week 14) would be the clear-cut top option at the position. Scheffler’s definitely worth a look if you need TE help in Week 15.
