Week 16 TE tips: Chandler poised for strong finish
Week 16 TE tips: Chandler poised for strong finish
UPDATED: 12/20/2012

The PFW staff foresees Scott Chandler capitalizing on an advantageous matchup against the Dolphins in Week 15 and Dennis Pitta staying hot against the Giants, in our late-week fantasy tips for TEs.

Miami has long struggled to cover opposing tight ends, which makes Bills TE Scott Chandler a sleeper option in deep leagues as an injury fill-in. He only had two catches for 30 yards in their last meeting, but Chandler has five catches in each of the Bills’ last two games, and if Buffalo gets to the red zone, he’s a prime target for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Raiders TE Brandon Myers’ fantasy stock has taken a hit in recent weeks, but he’s worth a start as a low-end No. 1 TE in deep leagues vs. the Panthers. He has only three catches for 22 yards and no TDs in the past two games, and he’s been targeted only six times over that span. However, tight ends have combined for 19-170-2 against the Panthers in the past three games and we expect Myers to be much more of a factor this week.

Colts rookie TE Dwayne Allen in Week 15 found the endzone for the first time in over two months, but with all of the different weapons at Andrew Luck’s disposal, he and teammate Coby Fleener, despite showing flashes, have not displayed the consistency to warrant starting consideration on your fantasy league’s biggest Sunday.
