The Bears signed OG Johan Asiata to their practice squad on Tuesday after he cleared waivers without being claimed.

Chicago waived the first-year player on Monday and promoted OG-C Edwin Williams from the practice squad. Asiata played in each of the Bears' first two games and was used in the goal-line package vs. Detroit in Week One.

Asiata, who went undrafted out of Nevada, spent much of last season on Chicago's practice squad.
