QB Michael Vick left the Eagles’ preseason opener after injuring his left (throwing) hand. Vick hit teammate Jason Kelce’s helmet on his follow through.

Vick completed 3-of-4 passes for six yards before exiting the game in the second quarter. The Eagles announced that X-rays on Vick's thumb were negative.

Vick missed three games last season and four in 2010.

DT Cullen Jenkins also left the game with a hamstring injury.
