Ditka hospitalized after minor stroke
UPDATED: 11/16/2012

Former Bears coach and current ESPN analyst Mike Ditka suffered a minor stroke on Friday.

“I feel good right now and it’s not a big deal,” Ditka told Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune.

According to Pompei, Ditka was playing cards on Friday at a country club in a Chicago suburb when he noticed that his hands “weren’t working quite right” and then he had a problem speaking.

The 73-year-old will not be on ESPN this weekend, the network reported, adding that Ditka is “doing better and resting comfortably.”
