The Raiders waived former first-round LB Aaron Curry on Tuesday.

“No longer a raider! On to my next venture! Expanding Gods territory,” he tweeted.

Curry began the season on the physically-unable-to-perform list because of knee injuries and he played in the last two games, making one tackle. He reportedly accepted a pay cut in the offseason to stay with the Raiders.

Last season, Oakland acquired Curry in a trade with Seattle. He played in all 11 games with nine starts for the Raiders and made 46 tackles and three passes defensed.
