Lions lose WR Broyles to torn ACL
UPDATED: 12/03/2012

Lions WR Ryan Broyles tore the ACL in his right knee in Sunday’s loss to the Colts and will undergo surgery, head coach Jim Schwartz announced.

Broyles, who tore the ACL in his left knee during his senior year at Oklahoma, had come on strong recently. In 10 games and three starts, Broyles had 22 catches for 310 yards and two touchdowns.

In a Thanksgiving loss to Houston, Broyles had six catches for 126 yards.

Schwartz said that WR Titus Young will “not be in the mix” to replace Broyles. Detroit’s other receivers are Mike Thomas, Brian Robiskie and Kassim Osgood.
