Only a knee sprain for Redskins QB Griffin
UPDATED: 12/09/2012

The Redskins announced that QB Robert Griffin III did not suffer major ligament damage, only a knee sprain.

Griffin injured his knee late in Sunday’s win over the Ravens. He did not tear his ACL and did speak to the media after the game.

The favorite for Rookie of the Year, Griffin threw for 246 yards and one score before exiting. Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins came in and threw a touchdown and then ran in the game-tying two-point conversion. Kai Forbath’s field goal in overtime gave Washington the win.

The Redskins play the Browns in Cleveland in Week 15.
