The 49ers signed LB Eric Bakhtiari to a two-year contract, the team announced. Bakhtiari takes the roster spot of TE-DT Demarcus Dobbs, who was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Bakhtiari appeared in three games earlier this season for the Niners after spending training camp with them. He has spent time with the Chiefs, Browns, Dolphins, Buccaneers, Titans and Chargers in his career.

Dobbs played in 12 games this season and made seven tackles.
