The Bears placed DT Matt Toeaina on injured reserve and elevated OT Cory Brandon to the active roster from the practice squad.

Toeaina played in three games with two starts for the Bears this season and made four tackles. He started all 12 games in which he played in 2011 and played in all 16 games in 2010.

Brandon has been on the Bears' practice squad for the past nine weeks.
