The Browns waived DB Dimitri Patterson on Monday, the team announced.

Patterson signed with Cleveland as an unrestricted free agent in 2011. He played in seven games with four starts this season and made 28 tackles and five passes defensed.

The 29-year-old played in 14 games last season, collecting 12 passes defensed. He had two tackles in the Browns' loss to the Redskins on Sunday.
