The Lions placed second-year DT Nick Fairley on injured reserve and signed DT Ogemdi Nwagbuo.

Fairley injured his shoulder in the team’s Week 14 loss. He had 34 tackles, 5½ sacks and two forced fumbles this season.

Nwagbuo has spent time with the Giants, Chargers and Panthers. He played in four games with one start for Carolina last season and has 44 career tackles.
