Dolphins second-year RB Daniel Thomas was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

Thomas played in 12 games this season and had 91 carries for 325 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 15 passes for 156 yards.

Thomas injured his knee in Sunday’s win over the Jaguars. Miami signed DB Julian Posey from the practice squad to take Thomas' roster spot.

Lamar Miller and Marcus Thigpen will serve as the running backs behind Reggie Bush in the Dolphins’ final two games.
