The Jaguars claimed RB Jonathan Grimes off waivers from the Texans, the team announced Friday.

Grimes, a rookie out of William & Mary, has appeared in nine games this season — six with the Texans and three with the Jets. He had two carries and two receptions for the Jets.

Jacksonville hosts the Patriots on Sunday and already ruled RB Maurice Jones-Drew out for the game. Grimes has played in two games against the Patriots already this season.
