The Bengals claimed WR Dane Sanzenbacher off waivers from the Bears and placed rookie CB Dre Kirkpatrick on injured reserve.

The Bears waived Sanzenbacher on Monday. The second-year wideout played in four games and had one catch for seven yards this season.

As a rookie in 2011, Sanzenbacher played in all 16 games with one start and had 27 catches for 276 yards and three touchdowns. He will join a Bengals receiving corps that has been without Mohamed Sanu (injured reserve).

Kirkpatrick, a first-round pick, has been battling a knee injury since the preseason. He played in five games and made four tackles.
