Titans part ways with RB coach Skipper
UPDATED: 01/03/2013

The Titans will not renew running backs coach Jim Skipper’s contract, PFW correspondent Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean confirmed.

Skipper just finished his second season with Tennessee after spending the previous nine as the Panthers’ running backs coach. He has been with the staffs of the Giants, Cardinals and Saints in his coaching career.

The Titans finished 21st in the league in rushing in 2012. Chris Johnson rushed for 1,243 yards and six touchdowns, following a 1,047-yard season in 2011.

“If they can get some stability on the offensive line, he’ll be fine,” Skipper told Wyatt about Johnson.
