Rams claim former Lions WR Young
UPDATED: 02/05/2013

The Rams claimed WR Titus Young off waivers from the Lions on Tuesday, CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora first reported. The team later confirmed the move.

Young played in 10 games with eight starts last season and had 33 catches for 383 yards and four touchdowns. He was twice sent home from the Lions’ facility — once in the offseason for punching a teammate, and once during the season for lining up in the wrong spot.

Detroit placed Young on injured reserve with tendinitis in his knee. As a rookie in 2011, Young had 48 catches for 607 yards and six touchdowns playing in all 16 games.

Young was waived on Monday, the opening of waiver periods for 2013.
