Broncos saw no signs that McKinley was suicidal
UPDATED: 09/21/2010

Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels held a tearful press conference Tuesday following the shocking suicide of WR Kenny McKinley.

McDaniels said that nobody in the organization saw any hint that McKinley was suicidal before he took his life.  The team gathered Tuesday morning and met with grief counselors. LB Wesley Woodyard said McKinley as his usual joking and jovial self in the weeks leading up to his death.

The Arapahoe County sheriff said McKinley died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home.

McDaniels said the team plans to observe a moment of silence Sunday before its game against the Colts. Players will wear decals on their helmets to remember McKinley.
