Texans starting OLT Brown suspended four games
UPDATED: 09/21/2010

The Texans have ridden their offense to a 2-0 start leading into a big intrastate game in Week Three against the Cowboys. But that offense took a hit, Tuesday, as starting OLT Duane Brown has been suspended by the NFL for four games for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances.

The third-year player has started all 34 games since being drafted in the first round of the 2008 NFL draft.

The way we see it

Rashad Butler, a career backup, is next on the depth chart. He could be next in line. Eric Winston, the right tackle, played on the left side in college; not sure if Texans would switch him. The Texans also reportedly signed Ephraim Salaam today; he was their starter on the left side before Butler was drafted in 2008. He'll likely be the backup if Butler starts.
