Jets LB Bart Scott is looking forward to facing Vikings RB Adrian Peterson for the first time in his career Monday night, as quoted on sportsillustrated.cnn.com: "I can't wait to taste his power.''

Colts RB Joseph Addai, quoted by the club on Indianapolis' 19-9 victory over the previously unbeaten Chiefs on Sunday: "Fans really don't see the Colts 2-2, and we don't panic ourselves, we might have people that kind of get scared or whatever, but we understand that we have to go back to the basics. So, we had the offense playing for the defense, defense playing for the offense (and) special teams is playing for everybody. It's kind of, 'let's lean on each other and get this win for each other.' "

Giants QB Eli Manning, explaining that with all of his team's firepower on offense, a different guy can be the hero each week, as quoted in the Hartford Courant: "You never know who's going to have the hot day. I don't have favorites and I don't pick guys out. I'm reading coverages and throwing to the open guy. So they know that."
