Here's our weekly look at the contributions made by Browns rookies this season:

CB Joe Haden (first round): Haden made two tackles and defended one pass in the loss to Baltimore in Week Three. He is the Browns' third cornerback behind starters Eric Wright and Sheldon Brown. Save for being beaten by Buccaneers WR Micheal Spurlock for the deciding touchdown in Week One, he has played well in his first NFL season.

SS T.J. Ward (second round): Ward, who has started all three games, leads the Browns with 26 tackles. He recorded five tackles in Week Three and knocked away a potential TD pass to Ravens WR Anquan Boldin in the fourth quarter. Ward has been an asset on special teams, too, notching three tackles, which leaves him tied for second on the team.

QB Colt McCoy (third round): McCoy has been the top backup to Seneca Wallace with Jake Delhomme (ankle) out the last two weeks. When Delhomme returns, McCoy will again be the Browns' No. 3 quarterback, and he's likely to fill that role unless Delhomme and/or Wallace are unavailable.

OG Shawn Lauvao (third round): Lauvao, listed as the second-string right guard, has missed the first three games with an ankle injury. "Hopefully we'll get Shawn back out so he can get in the mix this week," Browns head coach Eric Mangini said on Monday, according to the club.

SS Larry Asante (fifth round): He was waived on Sept. 4 and signed to the Browns' practice squad the next day.

WR Carlton Mitchell (sixth round): He has been inactive for the first three games and missed Week Three with a head injury. He's third on the depth chart behind Brian Robiskie and Joshua Cribbs.
