At least for one snap, J.P. Losman's decision to take the UFL road back to the NFL was vindicated.
After Denver knocked Raiders starting QB Charlie Frye out of the game early in the second half, beleaguered passer JaMarcus Russell stepped in, eventually marching the Raiders down the field late in the fourth quarter for a game-winning drive.
On that last drive, Losman stepped in for one snap when Russell was shaken up on a play. Besides the quick UFL montage CBS showed, there really wasn't much to see — Losman was pressured on the play, getting hit as he threw and tossing an incomplete pass (that was very incomplete).
Russell returned the next play and eventually completed a touchdown pass to WR Chaz Schilens with 35 seconds left to give Oakland a 20-19 upset victory.
