Saints enter half with rested defense
UPDATED: 02/07/2010

The Colts will get the ball to the second half, and it is imperative that they at least get a few first downs, for their defense, longer-than-usual halftime or not, has to be a little worn out after being on the field for the vast majority of the second quarter.

Credit the Colts for holding New Orleans to just two field goals and stonewalling the Saints' 4th-and-goal run from the 1-yard line late in the second quarter. But you have to wonder what sort of toll this has taken on the Indianapolis defense.

On the flip side, the Saints' defense isn't lacking for rest as it prepares for the second half.

How's that for a plot twist after the Colts breezed to that 10-0 first-quarter lead?
